I have recently made some of my wii-games compatible with my Xbox One gamepads by using the tools available within Dolphin. Those are games such as New Super Mario Bros, Donkey Country Returns, Tetris Party Deluxe and Kirby's Epic Yarn. I did so by following some online guides, making a wiimote-profile for each of my 4 Xbox One gamepads and applying the selected lines to each of the game's config files:
[Controls]
WiimoteSource0 = 1
WiimoteProfile1 = profile1
WiimoteSource1 = 1
WiimoteProfile2 = profile2
WiimoteSource2 = 1
WiimoteProfile3 = profile3
WiimoteSource3 = 1
WiimoteProfile4 = profile4
Thereby I had no need to grab my wiimotes while playing those games either with my friends or alone. All seemed well and done, as the game's ran as it should if I ran them from within the Dolphin executable, but since I'm into Kodi and Advanced Launcher, I personally prefer the command-line approach while launching my games.
Somehow, Dolphin crashes on each and every game via command-line if I type in the configuration lines above, giving me a "*** Caught unhandled unknown exception, terminating" popup window. This does not happen while launching the very same games inside the Dolphin emulator.
You don't have to use Kodi and the Advanced Launcher addon to replicate this error, I also created a *.bat file, edited it and wrote: dolphin.exe -b -e "D:\wii images\New Super Mario Bros Wii.iso" inside the *.bat file, and got the very same error-message. If I delete all those lines under [Controls] and launch the games again via command-line (Kodi or *.bat file), the games works as it should again.
This may be a bug in the emulator Dolphin itself, or it may be my PC that's playing me some tricks.
