Wii game "Zero 4" crashes at "Now Loading" screen (Mac)

Hi Dolphin-community,

my "Zero 4" game (iso-file) boots correctly.
The menu is alright, I have access to the options and stuff, but when I start a new game and the "Now Loading" screen appears, the program crashes and says: Dolphin quit unexpectedly.

I guess it's some settings in the video panels.

I would be very very happy if someone can help me out:

Is this the same game known as "Zero: Tsukihami no Kamen" and in English as "Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse" ?

OpenGL apparently won't work with this game but on a Mac I don't think you have a choice since there's no DirectX. Unfortunate but it seems to mean it won't work at all on a Mac.

Yes, it is exactly that game "Zero: Tsukihami No Kamen".
I'm a beginner, so I'm not really sure about Open GL or DirectX.

I see. How about installing Windows on my Mac (as a second OS with the MacOS) and after that, installing DirectX? Will that work? Or is there any chance to get some sort of DirectX for my Mac?

I have no experience with using a Mac but if you can install Windows on it I don't see why it would not work.

Hello n-fani, thank u again for ur help! Yes, I will try to install Windows.

Anyway, I surfed the web and found out, there is a third party DirectX for Mac called MacDX. But I couldn't find the application anywhere.

Well, I will try to do that windows thing. Let me know if there is any other option to solve my little problem.
