As dolphin can read the data on wii iso's (disc based games), is there any reason a format couldn't be made which separates the random padding from the data, and decrypts the data losslessly, ie reversibly? The aim being to compress the decrypted data for storage (which presumably is compressible in this state), but allowing the original iso to be recreated exactly.
Posted in off-topic because it is not properly dolphin related, or a feature request. It seems too obvious to not have been thought of, what is wrong with my reasoning?
