not a single build would get pass chapter 4 start. regardless of config. single core only, lle, xaudio, openal, opengl... save provided by skidau https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/4709 They all crash

i've got all the way to the last part and it's crashing, i tried everything.
did someone actually completed the game with dolphin? if yes what revision? also to all people who are getting this crash, did you ever use cheats? 06-04-2016, 08:19 AM
If you're using the PAL version of the game, then it's always crashed there. What I've done to get past the crash in the PAL version is lower the Emulated CPU Clock to ~15%, savestate during the cutscene before the crash... and just try it until I get to the gameplay. Eventually you'll get through.

Hi. I'm new to the dolphin forums and was not sure where to post this, but I need serious help. I can't get any gecko cheats to work whatsoever. I know that Dolphin offsets them, but I don't know at all how to go about the process or what to do. I am not adept in any form of coding whatsoever and need simple instructions. Please help me

I have traveled across the land..
Searching far and wide.. Not for Pokemon but for the correct settings of this beloved game of mine. A lot of the tips mentioned helped but none have given me crisp gameplay yet. For me, the game runs into the same issue of audio stuttering whether it is in OpenGL native res, or D3 11 x 3 native res. What confuses me the most though is that I still have this issue on my newest gaming laptop, the Alienware 15 R2. See specs below: Operating System: Windows 10 Home Edition x64 Processor/CPU: Intel i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.70 GHz ~ 4.1Ghz(Dynamically OC'd) Video Card/GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M Memory/RAM: Dual Channel DDR4 2133Mhz (16GBx2) Using Open AL with latency varying from 2 - 8 while having the LLE audio backend reduces the frequency of stuttering but introduces the new problem of audio stuttering when the game goes above 60 FPS / VPS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnvnrQ66DrY is my upload of the first chapter of the game. The audio stuttering can be observed at 12:22-12:29, but is specifically at 12:26 Is anyone else doing testing for best settings on this game? If so, let me know! 09-15-2016, 04:30 AM

Why are you running the game faster than 60 VPS? You're only supposed to get correct audio when running the game at the correct speed. It's a problem that's inherent to Dolphin. The problem will become less common as you play the game more, because Dolphin will save shaders that already have been compiled so they don't need to be compiled again. 09-15-2016, 07:56 AM

About the VPS thing I'm not 100% sure. It just spikes sometimes.. even when I am not using Open AL. Shader compilation lag.. Okay. Two questions about this: 1. If I update Dolphin, will that compilation be gone or is it only an issue if I were to uninstall Dolphin / change laptops? 2. Is there hope that this issue will be solved for Dolphin at some point in the future? 09-15-2016, 04:27 PM

The compiled shaders will be removed if you change to a different Dolphin version. Is there a list of games that are not susceptible to this shader compilation stuttering issue? In my experience, only Muramasa the Demon Blade, Resident Evil 0, and Resident Evil 4 haven't given me these problems. I've even tried the Ishiiruka version on titles of mine that have issues but it seems to cause more problems than it solves(namely black screen.) If there isn't a link to a list of games that don't experience shader compilation lag, can such a list be created in a new thread? I'd be happy to contribute heavily to testing and compiling a list because I have lots of GC games from my high school days. |
