1) try setting texture cache to fast.
2) try dev build 4.0-614 with the vertex streaming hack enabled

How did you make your windows backwards?
Which Nvidia driver are you on?

Where do I enable fast texture cache?
Didn't help.

Dolphin detected that I have Hebrew as one of my system languages (even though I'm using the English version of Windows) and ever so helpfully reversed all the categories and translated literally three words in the definitions. Well done.
Whichever is the latest update for GeForce 640. Just updated it a few days ago.

This game is demanding and that is the source of your problems. You could try overclocking your cpu and using older builds too, there isn't much else you can do. As far as Hebrew, whoever did that translation just started it and immediately disappeared years ago, perhaps it should even be removed from dolphin if someone else doesn't pick up on it.

That may be for the best (though I'd be happy to help out with a bit of translation work if someone comes up with a solution to my problem). I kinda doubt that a seven year old Wii game is really more demanding that any number of more recent PC games my computer can handle.
Here's how the game plays in video form:

Voice acting and cutscenes come through ok, gameplay and music are slow and stuttery.

And yet it is.

Emulated games and PC games are two different things. Your CPU is enough for PC games but not for Dolphin (Dolphin is more CPU dependent unlike PC games that are more GPU dependent). Your CPU will be too weak for a lot of GC/Wii games

Hmm. Guess I could try oveclocking my computer. (Isn't that kinda dangerous?)
Alternately, the uni computers can apparently handle the game without any issues, but for some reason transferring my Dolphin directory + Path of Radiance stuff doesn't make the game recognize my Path of Radiance save/bonuses. Is that info kept in some weird "my documents" sub-folder, or is there some option I'm missing?

Google how to overclock your CPU.

Did you copy the Dolphin Emulator folder from "My Documents"?

I tried that just now, and Dolphin still doesn't recognize the saves involved. Does the folder have to be named "My Documents", or can you direct Dolphin to it manually?

Dolphin now uses Global Directory in Windows. Everything is saved to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\Dolphin Emulator

Just copy the whole Dolphin Emulator folder to a flash drive, and copy it to C:\Users\<user>\Documents\ on a university computer. Thats what I do.

Ok, now here's some weird stuff - the sound (for Radiant Dawn) is randomly doubling. In addition to the regular soundtrack, there's also a whole bunch of random noises from the game - someone leveling up, fight noises, random static. What the hell could be the problem, and how do I fix it?
