Well the only reason I have the buttons like this, is that the main button was always for attacking and running.
And you can do this with shake. That's why I have it on Square or X (xbox).

The save from rev0 NTSC works on rev1 NTSC.
Win 10, Dolphin 5.0-1905.

The properties menu should exist within Ishiiruka too. You need to right click the game from within Dolphin, not the WBFS (or other extensions such as ISO) file itself.

Well... I don't use the WBFS extension for my games, just the standard extensions such as GCM and ISO. Perhaps Dolphin does not support properties information for the WBFS extension?

Save files often work when using between different revisions, unless a game drastically changes between revisions. The game data critical to recording save files is mostly left untouched. Using between different regions would likely not work. It even works with the support of a tool to convert between a GameCube and Wii save file of Twilight Princess. Both versions don't differ that much.

I am also using ishiiruka and I can confirm that it does work. You have to set the game image path from ishiirukas settings, then the game will appear in the main window and you can right-click to it and view its properties.

I kind of like knowing it's a Nintendo game. But it will be really sweet to get the textures actually working, or at least the ones that don't work.

I tried to play a bit with your config CTCaer, but unfortunately my game style is similar to Khronikos. Tongue I always keep pressed the grab button ("X" on xbox, "square" on ps) because it gives a boost speed and use the middle part of my thumb for jumping ("A" on xbox, "cross" on ps)...old school style. When I keep the Rtrigger pressed all the time my finger hurts. Tongue

Well actually that's what I was talking about. You get the speed boost with shake.
I didn't even know that with grab you could get the speed boost.

In old DKC series, before running you rolled. So the real old school way is this.
So, I want to have the speed boost? I hit X (xbox), DK rolls to the way I press the stick and has the speed boost.
And I use the trigger only when I want to grab (which is way less than rolling combined with stomping).

So with my profile, forget the trigger for running. Use the rolling+speed boost with X.

I get your point.. And yeah this is how the roll and run was in dkc and dk land in gameboy. But i don't know why the other setup suits me more.. Maybe it's the fact that shake does more things than just roll and especially when you got diddy on your back you do you the infinite roll. This means in single player with diddy it doesnlt act as run but as infinite rolling which can be a lot more dangerous since its faster...so I guess we have to accept that imitating the old controls is not 100% possible.. I'll keep trying though. Maybe I should switch the Rt with Rb..or just activate both. Smile

hmm..ok I noticed something weird. It turns out that when using your config, which is wiimote+nunchuck, when moving dk is running even without pressing any buttons.
But when playing with sideways wiimote you have to hold the grab button... Interesting.
I guess this explains why you hadnt noticed the running while grabbing.. and why me and khronikos, who both use sideways wiimote, have the same control settings.
Now out of curiosity i wanna figure out how to walk with wiimote+nunchuck.

Yeah, I agree on rolling with a Trigger button instead of the X-button too. Grabbing suits the X-button more. It is kinda hard of pressing A and X at the same time. Hold a trigger button and pressing A at the sime time is a lot easier.

Well in wiimote sideways you walk. When pressing 1 you run 100%.
When you shake you roll and run 110%

In wiimote+nunchuck you walk or run 100% based on how you press the stick.
When you shake you roll and then run 110%

Basically, all of you that don't use wii remote, you use the left button and RT (xbox) or R1 (ps).
So overall 2 mappings (swapped shake/grab) per 2 styles (nunchuck or sideways) per 2 controllers (xbox/ps).

Good info on what layouts I should make. Everyone has his play style. I will try my best to make textures for everyone in next updates.

Hey Thanks! I feel too greedy already...
IF, and only if, you got the time and mood (it's just a hobby after all) I'm sure everyone will love to be able to see his favourite controls on screen.

Well R1 is kinda meh on the Xbox One IMO. I use it on DS4 because it is an excellent button and it just suits my style better for rolling. But this is why customization rocks!

Also, this game is such a classic. Updating the fonts and stuff just makes it about perfect.
