Anyone else having a 100% freeze at the start of this game, on the loading screen with those hopping penguins?
Maybe it has trouble creating a save file? I've had the game working before but since I lost all my Wii saves... Could any of you give me a save file of yours (US version) so I can see if Dolphin indeed just has issues creating a save file for this game nowadays?

In the current build (4.0-8377), it seems that the DSP needs to be set to LLE to actually start. With the current Ishiiruka stable build (420), it will start up with the DSP set to HLE.
In either build, it seems impossible to trigger the wiimote shaking with the emulated wiimote at the beginning when the whale charges you. Starting up the game with a classic controller configuration seems to get past that well though. 09-11-2016, 11:49 PM
The game seems to require Wii Speak and won't start without it. Is there a solution to this? I was hoping I could use my regular PC mic.

If you update to the latest development version of Dolphin, games that use Wii Speak should be able to boot. Using current dev builds this game will not start - requesting that wii speak is attached.
Right, so everything worked fine for me until I got to the part (maybe 8 minutes in) where you have to dodge the whale by shaking your wiimote. Previously I was able to use the "shake the wiimote to pet" function perfectly fine, but no matter what I do I cannot get past that event. No matter what I do it wont trigger...so im just stuck there!! Im really confused because the shaking worked just a minute before? (Well to be honest the HAND did the "pet" motion but I didnt actually pet any fish...i thought it was simply my own incompetence but now im not sure if this has something to do with it..i THINK there's supposed to be a heart when you pet one but i failed at that?).
Could you guys please share your shake settings maybe? (i am using an emulated wiimote with the keyboard) Because im clueless as to what im doing wrong... thank you so much in advance!! (Also im so so sorry if this is the wrong thread to post under or something its my first post and im desperate) |
