You've got the motion controls emulated, and they work fine, with both swing and shake emulations. except for just one thing. the move where you slam DK's hands on the ground (shake while nunchuk joystick is neutral) doesn't work continuously. this wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that I can't finish level 2-2 without continuous slams. Any advice?

I had the same issue, to fix this you should map the shake from the nunchuk to the same button as the shake used on the emulated wiimote.

If I had crash, while playing DKCR 1-2 on Time Trial, that was so bad I had to restart my computer just to get out of Full Screen (something about texture cache, failed to copy I think). Is this where I post my details?

Ive decided to play the game on my "new" 3DS XL, I just wish they optimized it for the "new" version of 3DS. At least the gameplay at 30fps on that will play the same as 60fps on Wii, except for the obvious difference in framerate, but better than half speed gameplay at 30fps on Wii. Plus i get 3D and 8 levels that are exclusive to the 3DS version and are designed to be at the same quality as the rest of the game. Cannot wait for this bug to get fixed forever, I first encountered it and stopped my game back when the GTX670 launched.

Hello BloodyBonzai. Are you referring to the bug I just described? Is it a known/common issue?

I was able to unlock 2-K just so I could test it, and on the current master I had no problems. Sorry I can't be more helpful. I do notice that, in general, Dolphin performance tanks momentarily if I scroll in a web browser while the game is running. Are you sure you don't have any greedy processes running in the background while you play, and maybe your CPU might be thermal throttling? Even if your CPU usage seems low, Dolphin can only use so many cores, so it will never push it near 100%. If it is maxing out the cores it does use, that could affect performance, and after long enough it might thermal throttle and get worse. That's my understanding, anyway.

(Laptop) Intel Core i7-8750H (6 cores / 12 logical) @ 2.2 Ghz,
16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, GeForce GTX 1070, Win 10 Pro
M.2 NVMe 256GB SSD (probably Samsung), 2.5" 1TB SSHD

I have not tested the issue recently, so it is possible it has been fixed. Irregardless I have decided to take the trade-off of playing the game at a lower resolution at 30fps in 3D with 8 extra levels on the 3DS XL. As a result I am not interested in going back to test the game out, but when I did my CPU and GPU performance was not maxed considering I tested at the native resolution and experienced my fps dropping to the high 30s to low 40s only at that level, although it is possible the issue could present itself in later levels since I was still early in the game.

Hi there !

DKCR was not smooth on my phone (Oneplus 6T, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 / Adreno 630) and I've discovered that with a lower CPU Clock Speed the game runs faster. At 30% I've the best results, but unfortunately I can't go lower because the game refuse to launch at 25% (everything else is the stock paramteres)

Is my phone powerful enough or the problem is elsewhere ? I'm not sure to understand how by reducing speed a game can go faster Big Grin
And I don't know if this is something common in the "emulation world" but I have no issues with other games.
Any tips to run the game smoothly ?

You´re reducing the emulated console´s CPU speed, so the host CPU (your phone´s CPU) will suffer less while running the game. Most games will eventually lag with such low speed percentages though (e.g. enabling their own internal frameskipping, cutting the framerate in half, etc.).
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 800/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Ok, I understand now. So this is clearly a performance issue from my phone.

I guess I will play this game on a computer then Smile
