Just a lil update. We run into the odd issue where the save files dont always link up but then we just send the save file to whoever is having a problem and it works fine. So all in all, we are able to play 4 player without ever having had a desync while playing so far and are several hours in. Thanks for the help everyone and clearly you should all go play Dokapon now!

Note: Dolphin doesn't attempt to automatically sync the savefiles, at elast not yet. So if someone plays on their own or touches the game outside of netplay, then you need to resync.

yeah I figured as much, oddly one of our guys who doesn't play anything else always seems to get his save file messed up, but we just send him ours and its all good.

I know this thread is old, but I'm having issues when playing Single Player. Every so often (and I never can tell when), the CPU will be changed to a player. I then have to alter it back to be a CPU. Any idea what's causing this?
I can't get Netplay to work at all, yet the game works perfectly outside of Netplay. I'm always stuck at the Wii remote screen saying my controller (ps3 or 360) isn't detected or the emulated Wii controller.
What are the correct settings to run Dokapon Kingdom in Netplay? I already have dual core disabled and I'm using the latest Dolphin build. Dev and regular Dolphin. 06-01-2017, 12:04 AM
Getting Dokapon Kingdom to work on Netplay is complicated. I'll outline the trick to doing it, but, I'm not going to help debugging past that point as it's a total pain in the ass.
Controller Configuration - You want all players to use GameCube Controllers as it's easier, but, the game REQUIRES a Wii remote because it's poorly designed. The Wii Remote is only needed for pre-game stuff, and it only needs to be plugged in, you don't need to hit buttons, so, we can get around this. In the input configuration page (aka, controller config) on all PCs, you set Wii Remote 1 to emulated Wii Remote. you configure it and clear all inputs. You don't want anyone accidentally using the Wii Remote. Wii Remotes 2 - 4 can stay unplugged regardless of how many players are playing. All players will now have a Wii Remote plugged in, but no way to actually control it. Now you startup a netplay room. Player 1 keeps the Wii Remote configured on the netplay window AND gets a GameCube Controller (for actually playing the game.) All other players just get GameCube controllers, so the end result would look something like 1---123- for a 3 player game, with Wii Remote 1 put to player 1, GC Controller 1 set to Player 1, GC Controller 2 set to player 2, GC Controller 3 set to player 3. This will allow you to get in-game. You have 5 minutes until the Wii Remote disconnects, you have to get the game going before that happens. Once you're in-game, the Wii Remote can disconnect and you won't be interrupted. 06-01-2017, 03:56 PM

What's wrong with 360 or PS3 controllers? |
