Wii Disc not working

I just got Dolphin and tried to test it out with a random Wii game I had. I put it into the Disc holder and nothing happened. What do I do to be able to play my Wii games that I have on a disc? (I am also considering getting a gamecube game to play, which is also a disc)

Most pc dvd\blueray drives can't read wii\gamecube games. There were some in the past that ide if I remember but you won't get to to work in modern system in all likelihood. You would need to use homebrew on the wii to dump the games then you can use those dump for dolphin.

You'll need a real Wii (or a Wii U, or I guess a hacked Gamecube if you're one of the 7 people who has one) to rip games. You can follow the game ripping guide from the wiki.
