Configuration should read that the game will freeze up on the first loading screen if one uses "DirectX11". The game should work under DirectX9 or OpenGL.
Know what? I give up on opening this door. The terrorists win because I'm unable to simulate twisting the Wiimote using a controller. I wish that I knew how to hack Wii games just so that I could modify this game to use Classic Controller controls (which would ruin the whole fun of how the game was intended to be played). But I can't. I'm too dumb. I don't even understand what it's asking me to do, and I've even read this thread. For those of you facing the above problem, make careful use of your configuration settings. There are some important options available to Emulated Wiimote users that are important to remember: Right-click on a corresponding button's control to select controls from a menu. Make use of |OR, &AND and !NOT modifiers, and the drop-down Device menu. For example, this way you can select your DInput/0/USB Controller from the Device dropdown and select Button 0 to act as the A Button. Then select DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse from the Device drop down, scroll down to Click 0 below, then click the |OR button just to the right. Now the A Button on the Emulated Wiimote will be activated by pressing /either/ Button 0 on your controller /or/ the left mouse button. It beats having to switch control configurations between the rail shooter moments and exploration. So don't get frustrated too quickly! This game is worth it. Just make sure that you Pause the emulator when you navigate to another window, to be sure those mouse clicks don't register as in-game commands, despite the fact you have "Background Input" unchecked. Even if you're trying to navigate through Dolphin's menus, the game will believe you're interacting with it. 06-08-2013, 01:44 AM
In the in-game settings, the player must turn OFF the settings to use the Wiimote Speaker. In Options > System, Radio and Weapon Sounds should be set to "TV" and NOT "Wii Remote". Otherwise, the Wiimote will apparently lose the signal and its controls will malfunction. Remember: USB is overused and unreliable.

I'm trying to run this game, but it keeps freezing after cutscenes. I get audio but a frozen picture or a black screen. I haven't found a fix for it yet.

can you compute the MD5 checksum for me? right click on the game in the Dolphin UI, go to properties, click on info tab, compute

Sorry, I'm not seeing an option to right click anywhere. Could you be a little more specific?

Right-click (with your mouse) on the game's banner in Dolphin. You'll get a dialog box, at the bottom of which is an option for Properties. That's where you need to go. The next dialog box that pops up has tabs. Navigate to the Info tab, then hit the Compute button. This will generate an MD5 hash for the game. You can compare this hash to a database to see if your file is corrupted.
However, for Wii games, there is a better way to see if your game is corrupted. Just go Properties again (via right-clicking on the game's banner) and go the the very last tab called Filesystem (hit the arrow on the right if this tab doesn't show right away). You should see things like "Partition 0" or "Partition 1". Right-click on that and hit "Check Partition Integrity". If it passes, the issue is not with a corrupted file. If it fails, you'll have to dump/rip your game again to correct the problem (hopefully). 05-19-2015, 11:48 AM
Unfortunately I still can't find out where exactly I need to right click. I took a screenshot too:
I've tried right clicking around but nothing that gives me an option to go into the game's properties.
Don't open the file up via File... Open or whatever. You need to add the folder to Dolphin's configuration so it can see it. In Dolphin, clock the "Config" button; in the dialog that pops up, click the right arrow until you hit the tab that says "Paths". Under "ISO Directories" click Add. All you have to do is search for the folder where you game is. Now Dolphin will display a banner of the game in it's game list menu (like so -> http://i.imgur.com/7Wbm0I9.png). This is where you right-click on the game.
And for what it's worth, it's not exactly obvious you need to do all that just to right-click a game. :p 05-20-2015, 04:36 AM
Ah, thank you, now I can right click the list.
So I did the checksum and this is what I got: 729d8b13498dd0556d7423e49457a75a Not entirely sure what to do with that info. I also checked the partitions, and no errors have been found. I tried lowering the graphics settings, but I still get a freeze. |
