If you aren't interested in reading the post (even though I recommend it) on Reddit here is a summary: The Wii allows you to control the cursor of the Wii menu with a classic controller's left stick, instead of making the user point at the screen with a Wii Remote. The feature doesn't work properly when using an emulated control stick and the pointer remains stationary in the middle of the screen.
