You should give blusoleil a try. If that does not work probably listen to kickstand and try to buy one in a store near to you or amazon or wherever you can return it if it doesnt work. If the next dealextreme also doesnt work you wasted money and time.
System:
Pentium II 350 MHZ
Nvidia Riva 128 LX
128MB RAM
Windows ME Plus (32 Bit)

bluetooth (i guess, its the same): http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11866
same sensorbar: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26893
and wiimote: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30494
conclusion: although i had the same message (not recognized) sometimes with the dongle, its working very well! the only problem is that i can't connect 2 wiimotes at the same time. haven't tried more than the microsoft stack, but i've read later that this dongle has problems handling more than one wiimote (esp those from china...). maybe i'll buy another one, dealextreme would be preferred, but i don't know which one. i've heard a lot about bluesoleil. good as well as bad...
my system: win7 x64 with latest rev of dolphin.

ps: i did the same mod with the sensor bar with an old usb-cable. works very good and its done less than 15 min i would say Wink

From what I understand the "class" of the bluetooth adapter is what determines how many devices can connect at one time. For example the adapter you listed is only a class 1 which means 1 device connecion at a time. If you need drivers for the adapter I highly recommend widcomm over bluesoleil.

Edit: after some reading the "class" seems to pertain to the effective range of the adapter not the number of devices that can be connected at one time... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth

The Wii remote and nunchuck are all that most games need to be played. There are some games that need the infrared sensor but they seem to be few and far between. In order to use the remote and nunchuck on a pc a usb bluetooth adapter is required (unless your pc has built in bluetooth).

So the bottom line is that to use Wii controllers with dolphin on a pc you will need a Wii remote, nunchuck, and a usb bluetooth adapter (unless your pc has built in bluetooth).

Thanks for the usb bluetooth adapter compatibility list JackyCola..

well, twilight princess and mario galaxy are impossible to play without a sensor bar.

as in, not hard, but literally impossible to finish without.

(another alternative would be using a keyboard+mouse)

@kickstand: thanks, i tried the toshiba stack. its a litte hassle to get both connected (not working every time), but once both are connected (one original and one chinamote), i can use both at the same time in dolphin Smile
in other words: the cheap microsoft stack usb dongle is good for one connection, for two only with another stack. this can be costly, so it might be cheaper to buy a little bit mroe expansive stick with a non-ms stack Wink
