This has been answered hundreds of times already, you have to have all the real controls to play the game. Wiimote with motion plus, nunchuck, sensor bar and bluetooth.

Why is everybody so mean?

Dolphin R 6269 is the latest build that still runs the old wiimote plugin, it has this nifty checkbox called Wii Motion Plus Connected.

The plugin actually somewhat works with skyward sword.

It will fail to calibrate wii motion plus, but this is not the issue. after about 30 seconds it will give up, and you can choose "Don't check" Another menu will appear asking if you would like to retry or continue, you can choose Continue to play the game without calibrating wii motion plus.

There is a catch though, for some reason it uses your mouse for the X-axis of the movement regardless of the IR sensor configuration is, the Y-axis is controlled normally by the "Tilt and Swing" Pitch up and Pitch Down.

For the Pitch up and Pitch down to work correctly, you are going to need analog movement rather than a keyboard key.

The final problem I have encountered is that it seems to want to disconnect the wii motion plus after about 60 seconds of activity.

If someone was able to find out why the old wii motion plus emulator was constantly disconnecting and was able to keep it connected for longer than 60 seconds, then wii motion plus games would be playable with all types of controllers.

Even though this only connects for 60 seconds or so, I believe it is a lot more helpful than "No", and shows proof that you could be expecting this feature in the future builds of dolphin.

Why does everyone who comes to this forum never read anything before asking questions? Why does everyone who comes to this forum think their problem is the very first time anyone has ever ran into that issue?

As far as your r6269 comment:

"No" is the current answer. "No" it does not work. "No" it's not worth using since it's totally broken and useless. "No" you're not the first one to think of this. It may work in the future but right now the answer is "no". Now you know why "no" is the answer and it's better than recommending a broken feature.

As far as your r6269 comment:

"All I can say is grumble grumble NO grumble grumble BAH HUMBUG"

1. Because there is no simple location to go to gather information on a specific topic, it is scattered in pieces. It would be lovely to have a modern FAQ that could address these problems.

2. They don't. <-- that would be your style of answer.
2. Many people do not, but because there is no simple location for them to find information, it is easier to just ask people that may know more than them. believe it or not discussion boards were created for people to communicate information, ideas, and opinions that anyone is free to join in on.

Don't be stupid and don't edit my quotes to say something that was never said. In case you missed it, there is a giant 62 page thread named "Wii - Skyward Sword" in the game discussion forum. Go there, read, find answers, save time creating useless threads and making useless responses to those threads.

Closed.
