Wii Controller not working on dolphin

I've been trying for the longest time to make my wii controller work with dolphin...the drivers for "wiimote" install fine and the wii remote is detected by dolphin in gcpad for example (buttons work there). However, when i open a wii game, it says wiimote 1 disconnected. I press alt-f5 to make, but it says 'wiimote 1 connected', followed by 'wiimote 1 disconnected'. I had to download drivers manually because for some reason they didnt automatically install before. The wii remote seems to work in most things and buttons work in calibration, etc. However, it doesnt work in dolphin wii controller settings. I have a genuine standard white wii remote. I am really getting frustrated. Its on real wii remote, i also did press 1+2. There was no vibration, though. also the blue lights on my wii remote are lit up more to the right side as opposed to the left (thought this might be on wiimote 4 but that didnt work). Any ideas guys? I badly want to play metroid prime trilogy...
