I can get parts of it working, but I was wondering if you had any advice on how to map the inputs. I am only really interested in playing Gamecube games, and I will admit that my technological no-how is pretty week. Thanks! 09-02-2011, 02:49 PM

Mayflash released a new version of this adapter this year:
I'm not entirely sure of what the differences are, but it comes with no software and looks similar to their Gamecube adapter. I bought it to use with my classic controller pro for Gamecube games and found that the right analog stick was stuck downward by 8%. The camera ended up sliding down on its own in games that use the right stick to adjust the view... it's not the controller's problem, the right stick works perfectly fine on the actual Nintendo consoles or when I use it in Dolphin through a Wiimote. The stick is not tilted when I plug the controller in. I tried recalibrating using Windows setup and no matter what the "Z rotation" still reads 58% instead of 50%. I tried using the adapter on a different PC with Windows XP and the right stick was read exactly the same, 8% down. I returned the first adapter and the replacement I received does the exact same thing. Every button works fine and the left stick calibrates correctly, but the right stick for whatever reason is totally screwed. I can set the dead zone larger in dolphin to stop the camera from moving on its own, but I was hoping to use this adapter for PC games too. The CCPro is a great alternative to the 360 pad since it has the same button layout but with the distinct advantage of not containing the shittiest D-pad in the history of video gaming. Based on my experience I'd say to avoid this thing, unless anyone can give me some advice about getting it to calibrate correctly. I have no clue if the older version would work better, but i'm not shelling out again to test it. |
