Hello, I have just dug up my old classic controller and bought the new mayflash wii USB adapter, I am looking for my next step on my way to being able to play GameCube games on Dolphin.
Dolphin doesn't recognise any input from the controller, but my computer has detected it as a device.
Sorry if I sound completely stupid, I've new to Dolphin and emulators entirely, I do not have a bluetooth dongle or a Wiimote, all I have is a classic controller connected through an adapter into my computer.
If anyone could give me any advice what so ever about my next step it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jack

No one here has any idea how that works. I'll do what I can, I guess.

1. Attach a picture of your GCpad settings
2. What devices appear in the devices dropdown? Upload a screenshot of that too.

Thank you very much for the response, I'll send screenshots of the device list and my GCpad and wiimote settings ASAP when I get home from work.

First of all, you should update to the latest development version. SDL was removed, with good reason.

Secondly, select Dinput/0/Dual Box Wii (I'm assuming that's the classic controller) and then assign buttons in the GCPad. Click "joystick up" and press up on the left joystick, click "start" and press start, you get the idea. Fill it all out and you're done.

I know how to assign the buttons, however there's no recognition that I am pressing any buttons, pressing the buttons on the controller doesn't do anything when I'm trying to assign them, as far as I'm aware the little white buttons should flash red as I'm pressing them, but they're not.
Is there anything really obvious I'm forgetting? Do I need the standard Wiimote or anything else?

Hmm. And you selected the device in the device dropdown? Then that would imply something is wrong with the adapter you are using. I can't help with that. Make sure you install any drivers that may have come with the adapter and if you have further problems contact mayflash for help?

O_O

Nothing is going to flash on a classic controller. What do you mean by that?

Hi Jackrosley, I'm kinda having same problem with you.
I already assign my gamepad keys, set the device input to Dinput/0/.... but they just won't budge
Set the port 1 to standard controller, download the other version of dolphin, etc but the result is no different

I've tried to put my gamepad into emulated wiimote, and it works (only to -press A- screen, and then it announced that I have to plug a wiimote or controller in)
I still can't play the game until this second, except to play with a keyboard (I set it on emulated wiimote) which I don't like it very much
I just really hope someone can help me (and of course, YOU) to fix this problem
