Wii Classic Controller EMULATION on Netplay Unsupported

Hello!

My friend and I play games together via netplay often, with games like Project M and other GameCube games. We recently started playing Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi

3, but alas, it is a Wii game and for some reason the way the GC controller works makes the game feel unplayable and unnatural, so the simple solution was to emulate a

Wii Classic Controller. It worked, in singleplayer that is. When we did Netplay, it would force us with the GC controller. We go into our controller settings and everything is

blank (as if we had no controllers set up in the first place?) and it doesn't allow us to change anything. So I'm asking, is the Classic Controller unsupported on netplay?

F.Y.I, if you didn't catch it before, we're not using a real Wiimote. We're just emulating it.

Thanks!

GC controllers need to be completely disabled when playing this game.

Well, that's what we do. We disable the GC controller and enable the emulated Wii controller. Another thing is, while we're playing, and we go to change our controls, EVERYTHING says "None", not even the GC controllers, and everything is also greyed out so we can't change anything.

Have you been changing the settings where it says "configure pads" in the netplay hosting window? In there, you are supposed to assign the Wii remotes to the players, since they aren't set by default.

We actually tried that, but whenever we start the game, the screen is black and it doesn't continue with the game. When we assign GC controllers instead, it works.

I never tried using a classic controller online, but I did try using a nunchuk which didn't work. I'm not so sure any extensions even work at all in netplay, but I don't know enough about it to say for sure. I would suggest using just the Wii remote with no extensions to see if the game will start up that way. It won't fix your problem, but at least you would have a better idea what specifically isn't working.

I'm pretty sure Wiimote Attachments are unsupported for Netplay.
