Hi,

some time ago I built myself an adapter for a replacement wii bt module and have successfully used it under windows with the winusb driver.
it works like a real wii and the wiimotes always automatically reconnect when starting a game / going back to main menu.

Now i wanted to install dolphin on Arch Linux (tried as flatpak and with pacman) and games start as usual and pairing a wiimote first time worked as expected.
But when I restart emulation or start another game / go back to main menu the wiimote doesnt reconnect even when pressing A.
With the Flatpack installation I had to manually clear the paired wiimotes and resync everytime, with the pacman installation I "only" have to resync everytime. This sucks as I always have to tab out and go into the config.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem or know whats wrong? Huh

PS: I am using a real Wiimote with MotionPlus and its one of the "new" WiiU Wiimotes...

Thank you for your help!
Tim

I should also add that I made a udev rule for the BT adapter and i also configured the dolphin.ini to use the specific vid/pid

Dont think dolphin need a specific vid pid when using the official bt adapter.

Have you tried deleting SYSCONF on dolphin user folder?

Also try older builds. There were some problems with BT passthrough on newest builds.

Thanks for the reply,

I have to use vid and pid to force the official adapter because otherwise it sometimes uses the internal bluetooth which obviously wont work as expected..
I also have deleted SYSCONF on multiple occasions but that didn't help either.

I might try using older builds, will report back if anything changes

I think I have narrowed it down a bit,

the dolphin wiki says that the user should be in "plugdev" group so dolphin can unbind the driver automatically
this doesnt exist under arch but when I start the emulation dolphin sucessfully unbinds the bt adapter from the btusb driver so this should work regardless.

But the issue still persists. Only when I completely unload the driver with "modprobe -r btusb" it now fully works, with remembering the wiimotes and automatically reconnecting...
This is still an issue because I dont really like unloading the driver everytime I want to use dolphin because during that time Í cant use any bluetooth device...

I know this is at this point more of a linux problem but I dont really know what to do
