Starscream ,

You were definitely talking hardware , and you're showing us GDs (it is Software), whatever !

GD roms are, I suppose ,the same size than Sega Dreamcast ones and not as small as the Gamecube discs, but I might be wrong ^^

To be On topic ,The triforce system doesnt belong to Nintendo , it was made in collaboration WITH Sega AND Namco , But still ,I think there is an IBM and an Ati inside !

Yes, I was talking hardware and posted links to the software, but there is no hardware for sale at this time that I could locate. The point still remains, that you can get what is needed without spending $20.000.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

No, that's the actual price. I checked multiple vendors that sell the hardware in western countries. It costs roughly $20k dollars in all cases.

Quote:Mario Kart 2 is available with an optional re-writable card-playing system, which allows players to collect coins and save them on their card each time they play. Coins can then be traded in by the player to customize their cart, and can also be redeemed for hidden items, carts and more. Different classes are also available, which help players of all skill levels enjoy the game.
$18,199.00

Quote:Priced at $17,497 - that's just under £10,000 in the old money - the machines are designed for two players and stand at 76 inches tall. All your favourite Mario Kart characters are present and correct, along with the likes of Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Blinky, since the machines were developed with the help of Namco.

Specifications

Height: 76
Width: 70
Depth: 63
Manufacturer: Namco America
Class: Simulator
Condition: New
MSRP: $16,995

Sale Price: $19,495
Old Price: $19,795

Includes Free Inside Delivery!!!
Dimensions: 76" H x 70" W x 63" D

So I'm not sure where you thought it could be obtained for a cheaper price. Triforce hardware is not meant for personal gaming. These are for malls, cinemas, arcades, etc.. To make money. They are not designed to be personal collectibles (..unless you are very rich)

Once again, you do not need to buy a $20.000 arcade cabinet to be able to rip the games, only the hardware and the game CD's. Trust me, I know all about arcade cabinets and game boards as I once owned a Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition Jamma cabinet. Ever hear of Mame? People build arcade cabinets and setup PC's in them to play many arcade games in their own houses. In this case Trifoce is not emulated by Mame, but you can easily setup a monitor to play or dump the games if you had the hardware and the CDS's. if you could find what you needed, that is.

Maybe you're still not understanding. See what people do rather than buying the entire cabinet, is take out the game boards or PCB's and sell them to people who want to put that hardware in their own cabinet or one they have made. It's much easier to sell some game boards than a giant coffin that costs hundreds of dollars to ship. The case where someone is selling the entire cabinet is a specialty arcade online store looking to make money. Sure it's nice to have the original cabinet to keep in your house and play it that way, but it's ridiculous to spend that kind of money on a wood box with a game board in it. The arcade is dead, there is not that much money in it anymore to be spending $20.000 on one cabinet.

Can Dolphin play Triiforce games ? Isn't it the same hardware as the Gamecube ?

And aren't the games in the same discs as GC games ?

Dolphin is supposed to be able to play Trifoce games, but I've only seen one picture of a dev's screen shot on the google code somewhere near the commit that got those games working. The games are totally different games and need their own Triforce CD's. The hardware is more advanced than a GC that we could by in the stores as it was made to be used in arcades. But it is close to a GC.

The disc is similar to size in GC, and motherboard is GC with tons of add-ons which is not cheap or easily available for purchase

There you can see details of triforce hardware. It is much more complex than the original gamecube and it will cost a lot even if you don't buy arcade kit. To play you need at least:

Triforce Motherboard
DIMM board
I/O Board
GD-Rom Driver
GD-Rom
Security IC
Cables

And the expertise to assemble it & install firmware. It is not something the average dolphin user can do.

Ocean, here is an example of triforce running in a jamma candy cabinet that someone is selling and has in their house.

But you still need the cab on top of the hardware & the gd-rom which will in total run to many thousands of $
