I don't want to turn this into an overclocking thread, but yeah. It seems like ~3.6 Ghz is the limit for this i7 860 on stock fan (pretty impressive considering the factory clock is 2.8 Ghz). I'll order a new fan eventually when other games start to lag, but in the mean time, emulated Goldeneye is the only odd game on this rig that's not smooth as butter.

riff1: yeah, you can't compare an emulated game to PC games. Of course, if this game was made the same way for the PC, a PC from 5 years ago could play it smoothly...but your PC has to emulate the whole hardware n stuff...and of course, Dolphin is not 100% matured yet. There's always room for optimizations.

Wow, I can't thank you enough for posting this video. I switched over to the version you're using (5411), changed out the audio plugin to a newer version, and now all my performance woes are gone. I'm getting almost a permanent 100% now, except for an occasional dip to 80%.

For me at least, this game prefers SVN R 5411. Is there any way we can get this on the first post?

What's up guys? I'm trying to get Goldeneye running properly...

My FPS is very inconsistent. I'm using Dolphin 2.0

Here are my specs:

Windows 7x86
640gb hd
4GB Ram
AMD Quad Core Phenom 9650 2.3ghz
ATI Radeon 4850

Are there any builds that you guys suggest I use? It runs slow on both D9 and openGL plugins.

I downloaded that, but still get a slowdown.

Are there any specific settings I should look into?

EDIT: No matter what I do, I get about 10 - 14 FPS at the main menu.

Is there any way to turn with the nunchuck in Dolphin? If I try to enable nunchuck turning in the settings my target reticule disappears and I can no longer aim.

@ Xerxes: I take it this is your first time using Dolphin? Then look around this forum, there are enough tips and tutorials on how to config. For starters, be sure in the graphics plugin you have "EFB to Texture" enabled, NOT "EFB to RAM".
