I'm not even sure that it's in the realm of possibility and the time it would take to properly implement it would be better spent on making a faster/more accurate emulator.

Because of desyncs and other technical issues with emulators, the fact Dolphin would immediately be detected and banned from Nintendo's network, Dolphin could also technically get in trouble. Nintendo's Network, their rules, just like you aren't allowed online with a hacked console. Netplay is the only solution on over the network/internet play and that is still far from perfect or even being an adequate solution. Desmume implemented wi-fi, but it was immediately banned from Nintendo's network due to technical issues that allow emulators to be immediately be distinguished from a real system, this led to wi-fi/internet support being pulled in later revisions. Go buy a Wii if you want wi-fi and the ability to play on Nintendo's network, other than half-baked support for netplay wi-fi isn't going to happen with emulators as long as it involves connecting to the official network of the company that created the system. Other than connecting to Nintendo's network wi-fi is pointless and not needed, and going online on their network with an emulator is only foolish.
