If it doesn't, I can tell you where the box is coming from: when you first get to Delphino Plaza, you have no shine sprites, and so the whole island is a bit dark-tinted. It would appear this was just a faded effect applied to the game, but only to the main 4:3 window the game is trying to render to. Unfortunately, if changing that setting in swiss doesn't work, you'll just have to ignore it until you get more shine sprites.
How do I change the Swiss-settings with the "swiss_dolphin_full_wide_autoboot.dol"? Or do I have to use the regular version?
I still need help with this one.

Lol the dol says it's going to autoboot, you can't change any settings.

The only funny thing is your pointless answer.

Let's have a look again:

Suprvgeta is using the autodol-version and BJSerpas still refers to some settings he has to adjust.

So I thought that there might be some button-combination to interrupt the autoboot-process or something.

If I boot the game with swiss-gc, Dolphin does not load the custom textures anymore ..
Does anyone know a solution?
Modify the .dol for SMS, referencing the source for Swiss on how to do it, or do a ram dump and grab the changes Swiss made from that ram dump. Insert dol into iso. Use cheats as normal.

I know this has been a year old, but I'd really like to try out my custom textures for TimeSplitters 2. Its widescreen AR code breaks half of the game's objectives. Only Swiss has the best widescreen fix for this game.

So can someone explain how to do this modifying the .dol? I know how to dump MRAM and EXRAM, but not sure if it should be dumped after booting .dol or after loading up TS2 iso afterwards. And what do you mean by insert .dol into iso? From where? A clear explanation would be helpful as I'm trying to figure out a way to use my Trooper Special texture while having perfect widescreen fix. Wink

EDIT: YES! I've found a way to use custom textures with GC-Swiss Widescreen Hack!

1) Go into Documents → Dolphin Emulator → Load → Textures.
2) Make a folder called 00000000 (8 zeros).
3) Add your custom texture in there (which you can also make a folder with the name of your games if you want to be organized).
4) Then, run Dolphin, load up the .dol, from Dolphin go to file > Change Disc... > pick your game (TimeSplitters 2) > from Swiss-GC, press A to load the game (TimeSplitters 2) > press A again > press X for Settings > Force Widescreen: Persp > Save & Exit > Press A to start&play!
5) Lastly, to load custom textures, from Dolphin, go to Graphics → Advanced → ☑ Load Custom Textures.

Now how'd I figure this out? I enabled dumping textures from the .dol and it created the folder called "00000000". So I moved that folder into Load and it worked.
