Why was nJoy 0.4 (njoy_testing) removed?

Why was nJoy 0.4 (njoy_testing) removed?

Just curious here... I noticed that in revision 3863 it was removed. nJoy 0.3 is unable to detect and configure my gamepad, but nJoy 0.4 can (and it works fine for me during emulation, as far as I can tell).
I'd imagine that I, personally, could continue using nJoy 0.4 from revision 3862 in later builds, if nobody else has this problem, but I was wondering what the plan is here and why it got cut.

(note that I'm using the Linux version)

.04 was incredibad . .03 even though is a lower number works everytime and responds to config.

well if nJoy 0.3 is unable to detect it while nJoy 0.4 is, then there's a bug here, because they both use the same API to detect the gamepads : SDL

yeah the version number doesn't mean a thing anymore :p
actually nJoy 0.3 is more up to date than nJoy 0.4...

actually nJoy 0.3 is more up to date than nJoy 0.4...

oh that means u need Vc+ redistruable ad Vc+ reditriable sp1 . they are free from microsfot. restart ur cpu after u install them and bam ur done. they will get detected after that . I had the same problem

I don't think that was the problem for me, since I'm not using Windows...

So I guess 0.3 got more work done on it in the SVN and ended up better than 0.4. Kind of confusing, but understandable. Hopefully the bug that prevented my gamepad from being detected will be fixed in 0.3, I suppose.
