I used codecademy to learn several languages, I think it's usually a pretty good introduction, at least to get started with. https://www.codecademy.com/catalog/language/java

Basic Java may look pretty similar to C, but you should really spend some time learning more before you do too much. Just the whole classes thing confused me for a long time until I had a course that covered classes, and I suspect that interaction between classes will be a big part of the UI work
Hi, mod here! biomedical1010, your first post isn't quite flaming or harassment, but it wasn't exactly... nice. There are lots of reasons why things are the way they are, and none of them are malice or incompetence. Everyone wants things to be better, but don't have the skills or time or resources to make things better. So please be considerate of others and why things are as they are. Belittling the very people you are asking to do things for you is certainly going to achieve what you want! And it isn't going to make anyone be eager to do anything, for sure.
So, be nice! AMD Threadripper Pro 5975WX PBO+200 | Asrock WRX80 Creator | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 64GB DDR4-3600 Octo-Channel | Windows 11 23H1 | (details)

I've been reading the code for it, and though I still have no clue what most of the variables are as the jacka$$ who wrote it didn't leave any comments, but from what I've read I'm guessing whoever wrote that code and thus knows how it works can do what I asked for in a few hours. The only reason he won't is that he doesn't give a shit. So I will be left staring at this code for many days trying to figure out what's going on, and then, MAYBE, I can fix it.
