Before all you laptop haters blame it on the simple fact that "you're using a laptop", hear me out.
My laptop specs are:
Intel i7-4720HQ
Nvidia Geforce 980m
16GB of Ram
I think that's the most important part of the specs.
I am mainly trying to run Super Mario Sunshine right now and it my frames keep dropping.
I am using Direct 3D11 and set my adapter to the Nvidia card.
I am running the internal resolution only on 2x Native with no anti-aliasing and 1x
anisotropic filtering.
I see people with worse laptops than mine and they are able to run 3x native on Super Mario Sunshine with all these other upgrades without any problems. My game starts out running at a steady 30fps but then it just starts to drop to like 15-20 every now and then and it just doesn't make sense.
I know I am using my graphics card because I set it up on the Nvidia Control Panel.
I also set my laptop to High Performance and made sure there are no battery problems.
I've literally watched about 10 videos talking about the best settings for Dolphin and none of them really helped with my problem.
Is my laptop really just not able to run Super Mario Sunshine with relatively low graphics with the specs that I have?
