I tested Dolphin with ubuntu 9.10 and windows XP here and it was a little slower under linux. Impressively, it was a little more stable under linux too.

Is it because of some default config or is it lib related? My videoboard is a geforce 9600gts. Thanks.

Were you using same settings and plugins ? Because Linux doesn't have DirectX.

I would like to know this too. If possible, can you test same plugins/settings/revision/same 32/64 build and give some results(with screenshots if possible)? That would show how linux kernel, X and overall OS efficiency developed over years. I still think its same crap as always though(but good enough for servers, am running one too), but I would like to be proven wrong. As for stability, its definitely not OS problem as much as coding habits and efficiency to use given platform.

Ok, i'll do that, but, what exacly should i post here? Any debug info? Screenshots only? I was using default configs, but maybe i shoud try messing around a little.

Same config. Attention to the FPS. Linux version was more then 50% slower. Really weird.

Hehe I knew linux is CRAP by design when it comes to desktop ;-)
Still, it looks you used quite different revisions which is not fair. You should use same revisions, same plugins and same settings(also in all plugins) including resolution. Seems you probably used same settings just different revisions.

try this under windows its same version as your linux one and post screen/link for it.
I still expect same big difference but lets see...
Don't forget: SAME settings! And btw thanx Wink

Did you disable dual-core mode on linux?
Dual-core mode is currently broken on that platorm.

Try making a new comparison on both enviroments with single core.

Linux is crap? That's only because dolphin isn't optimized to run on linux genius.
