Question
Just a little question I have on my mind. Maybe some of you know.
GSdx is a PS2 graphics plugin right? So why can we use it in ePSXe? Similar hardware?
From France with love.

There was compatibility hardware in the PS2 for PS1 software, so a perfect graphics emulator for the PS2 would be able to do both.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Radeon Vega 56

I think pcsx2 already emulates the PSone already since there is already a recompiler for the IOP, which is identical to the PSone cpu. Only issue left is it's unable to detect PSone games and thus switch to PSone mode. Can someone please fix this so I can play my PSone classics?

I don't think the only issue is the lack of PS1 game detection. PCSX2 does not support PS1 retro-compatibility so devs can focus on PS2 emulation, and because there are PS1 emulators like ePSXe that already do that anyways.
