Exclamation
Hey Everybody ! Tongue

i have the following specifications :

athlon IIx2 250 @ 3GHZ
2gb ddr3 1333mhz
4200HD IGP@500mhz
" used the latest stable Dolphin , tried 4770,3135Undecided"

Are these specifications not good enough for dolphin ? because when i play sonic unleashed "native resolution-no AA" it is full speed at menus and movies , but whenever a 3D object is rendered (Hub World For Ex) .. the FPS goes down (like 13 ,10 FPS ) .. i know that the IGP is weak, but dolphin is supposed to use the CPU processing power instead of slowing down ...

Please Help !
Thanx !Heart

The fact is that the GPU slows down the CPU.
Your CPU is fast but the GPU not.
Dolphin needs some stronger GPU.
For Example a HD 5770 would be good.
It's cheap and fast enough for Dolphin.

EDIT: To run this Game (I guess).

Wait what are you using: OpenGL, DX9 or DX11 ?

EDIT: If you're on x64 use a x64 Build.
It's very fast.

First,Thanx Everybody For The Rapid Replies Smile
@naoan :could u please provide me a link ? :p
@Anti-Ultimate :I TRIED EVERYTHING and all gave me full speed at menus and laggy stuff at 3D gameplay Sad

and second :

i OC'ed my IGP from 500MHZ to 700MHZ and it didnt made a huge difference ( like 1~2 FPS increase )
also i have the Boxed"AMD" heat sink of the CPU , so I guess i shouldnt try to OC the Cpu more than 3.2GHZ :S and i did OC'ed It).. ... nothing changed at all

What more can i do to the hardware ...(except from buying a new GPU)..to get some FPS increase ?

Thnx Guys ..

using lectrode's builds will only get you so far. Anti-Ultimate is right - you are gpu limited. overclocking your cpu past 3.2ghz will do very little until you upgrade to a reasonably powerful gpu. i was in a similar position recently. i'm running a phenom II @ 3.4ghz and was using my integrated hd4200 until i upgraded to a hd5570 (which i think is still bottlenecking my cpu but it's my only realistic option at the moment due to my case and other requirements). i also tried overclocking the hd4200 to 700mhz and like you found that it also made very little difference as i guess it's bandwidth limited. whilst dolphin is more cpu than gpu reliant (although that's somewhat incongruous, as one cannot work without the other), if either one isn't fast enough then you won't get good results.

btw, this is all assuming you're using the correct settings for this game.

yes but it'll help him nonetheless, and is the cheapest option, at least it worked for me in getting full fps with Arc Rise Fantasia.
