I can boot up Freekstyle in 4k and it looks absolutely stunning, nice crisp clean edges and minimal aliasing. Then I boot up Splinter Cell and there is edge aliasing everywhere, all the objects look like they are still rendered at 480p.
Not complaining, just trying to better understand this oddity.

It certainly does, for cutscenes. Hmm, I guess I'll try the Ps2 version of Splinter Cell for now.
The pc version would be great at 4k with the hd'ish texture pack, but it lacks controller support and uses the mousewheel to control movement speed :p

Turn off RealXFB/swap to VirtualXFB after the cutscenes are over and it should allow you to see the game in high res. But, future cutscenes may be blacked out. This is a fixable issue at least though.
