I am using a Samsung  galaxy S8+  and it seems the game is still crashing on my phone.

Because there's a bug in the JITARM that no one has fixed and debugging Android issues is a pain in the ass. It should run on cached interpreter, albeit really slowly.

Using the official dev builds?
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

I believe some builds disabled branch following, which works around the JIT ARM bug without actually fixing it. You can disable this in the INI files without using any specialized build, though.

How to remove it? I am not sure how to find the files

I'm have the same exact phone you do (unless yours is Exynos), and it runs on both regular and custom builds.
So unless you are using Exynos, it's definately not your phone.
