Why Cant i play multiplayer in Monster Hunter Tri

I and My friend want to play multiplayer in "monster hunter tri" but when tried to connect the system says "service for this software has ended" is there any other way to play online?

If there is a local multiplayer you can do that via netplay, other wise the only other option would be if someone was hosting unofficial servers.
