Ever since i changed from dolphin 4.0.2 to dolphin 4.0-6988 im getting full speed on my amd fx 6300 i thought it was impossible to get full speed on a AMD Processor. Im even playing my games at 4x Native and i get full speed.
Why am i getting good Performance on my Amd pc?

Because there are a lot of improvements in the latest dev builds and no one said it was impossible to get fullspeed on an AMD processor. Thing is you won't get fullspeed in certain games.
Plus the fact that you are able to play at 4xIR is because your GPU is fast enough for it for whatever game you're playing. 07-11-2015, 07:32 AM

Because of the many performance improvements in the latest dev builds, especially the improved Vertex Loader JIT and the Paletted Texture Speedup. There's also Partial Texture Updates which allows for texture animation effects without the (extremely slow) EFB to RAM copies.
And with the Vertex Loader JIT SSE2 fallback, even users with underpowered Athlon II CPUs can have decent performance in Dolphin. |
