which 2nd gen i5 are you talking bout ? There are many of them , i3 3120M = i5 2410M (CPU performance only)
Intel HD 3000 suck ! Intel HD 4000 (3rd gen i3 3120M) performance lie between Radeon HD 7640g (A8 4500M) & Radeon HD 7520g (A6 4400m) .
Overall , i3 3120M > i5 2410M (Both CPU & GPU performance)
Like Starscream said earlier :
Quote:Neither of those integrated GPUs (HD 7640g & HD 7520g) can do much with a PC game.
Stick with low-medium settings , you will be fine

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-4000.69168.0.html (HD 7640G is just a bit faster so it does not matter )
Batman: Arkham City is playable at med settings
AC3 ??? Assassin's Creed 3 ? Not playable at med , not sure about low settings
Well , what do you expect from 370$ laptop ? If you want great performance with PC games , you will have to fork out 500-1200$ to buy a laptop that has dedicated GPU

Given that I'm not much past what I'd call medium settings, and don't always hit 60FPS, I'm very sleptical of this.

I'm fine with a speed like that on most games. Can the i3 3120m run like that or worse or better

I would be concerned with the his statement "probably won't notice too much stutter in the video it's quite noticible in game"

In my opinion, it's perfectly playable.

Yeah the video looks perfectly playable. The guy recording the video says the stutter is quite noticeable in game even if it isn't noticeable in the video. I was comenting on his words not the video quality. Wouldn't you hate to buy a laptop and find out that the video was misleading because it didn't show the stutter as much as it actually is in game.

Yes. You seem to be very helpful and smart for a junior member. When I was a junior member (and still now kinda) I was a n00b. Big Grin
