Native games, however, will run much slower in opengl. this can be seen when you compare cross-platform games like half life 2. they will run significantly faster under direct x on windows then they will with opengl on a mac (equal hardware, of course)
I actually specifically meant Dolphin.
ATI/AMD cards have issues with texture caching under OpenGL. It's a known and long-standing issue. It's most visible in games like City of Heroes or Second Life, both of which run markedly poorer on ATI/AMD hardware. I was curious if it's a problem for Dolphin as well.
