do you need a new motherboard and ram too? or just the cpu?

if you need to buy mainboard and ram too, i would go for i- series CPU.

if not, you will be fine with e8400-8600... get the 8400 and overclock it....
c2q won't give you any benefit in dolphin, cause dolphin is using 2 cores.

If you can, get an i-series it would benefit Dolphin a lot more (i3/5/7 @ 3GHz > C2D/Q @ 4GHz in Dolphin at least)

And please don't ask why Dolphin is using only 2 cores, use the search feature instead. (I better say it now than later)
Coincidence does not exist.
We only believe it does, because we never know what happens beyond our visions and thoughts.

Don't get a c2q. They run at lower clock speeds, and as dolphin can only use two cores, you'll get worse performance.

Dolphin is the best and its speed is very fast as compared to other.
I hope it is best for you.
