So I'm looking for a desktop strictly for emulation, mainly Dolphin & PCSX2.

I have a budget of about $1000, but preferably <$800
Which of these would be the best choice? Or is there one/some options that you guys can recommend?
Thanks!!!

Is building it yourself an option?

Because if you only care about emulation, you can build a very small system for *easily* way under 800 USD.

I would consider it, as long as the parts can be shipped to Canada.
But I'm a noob at that kind of stuff, I'd rather pay a little more for a store bought one, provided it'll run the games smoothly.

That should work. Pick a case that fits your taste and can fit a MicroATX motherboard. Pick it from that site and it will only show you compatible cases.

As for the GPU, now a days it's hard to recommend one now that Ubershaders are a thing.

Nvidia GTX 1050

pros:

* works extremely well with all of our graphics backends

cons:

* If you want to use Ubershaders, it only works well with Direct3D 11. (Or exclusive mode with any backend, but don't worry about that)

AMD RX 560

pros:

* Ubershaders works well on all backends

cons:

* OpenGL is very slow on AMD, and OpenGL is our most mature backend.

It's up to you there. Either way, this build after rebates will cost less than $500 CAD.

If you don't want to go through the effort of building, of the ones you listed, this one isn't too bad. Finding an RX 580 at that price in a full system isn't easy.
