I get an error with xaudio2. Do I have to install some drivers or something for xaudio2

First of all, they're backends so neither one is going to give you better performance over the other. Xaudio2 is typically considered superior because it has less audio latency.

The only thing you need for xaudio2 is make sure your dx runtimes are up to date. What is the error message?

I get 4 errors one by one as I close them.

'XAudio2 init failed'
then 'could not initialize backend XAudio2'
then, 'sound backend xaudio2 is not valid'
and last one 'error starting up sound stream'

PS: If it's related to directx then I think it could be because my DirectX setup never completes I get an blue screen error and it restarts. Please help.
