Hi, I have a old desktop and was wondering which games i can play using Dolphin with atleast 15 fps.

Config :
2 GB DDR Ram
AMD Athon 3200+ 2.1GHz ( OCed )
nvidia 6600GT 256MB GFX

I am looking for "Mario" games, wish to re-live the childhood Wink.

just wondering how you managed to overclock that thing because when that processor was released most motherboards wouldn't let you overclock through the bios. I should know because I have one.

From the BIOS, Advanced something ( 2nd tab ) -> Jumperfree configuration -> Change to manual -> Change the FSB, default should be 200.

I dont remember how much my FSB was, because right now I have removed the OC. I will OC again if the emulator runs little slow. But when it was running at 2.1GHz it was smooth and stable and I could see FPS improvements atleast by 5 in Assasins creed, Underground : Carbon etc.

Most motherboards but there were few (theese most expensive) that let U overclock Athlons 64 a lot. I had one also about 5 years ago on ASUS motherboard and I could overclock it from about 2GHz to at least 3 from bios.

Dude, forget about dolphin, go for Super Mario 64 then, it was much better than GC marios and U can run it full speed on Ur config. But if U really want to try mario game from cube then overclock cpu more, with GF6600GT it'll be very hard and most important thing no chnace to get any sound in Super Mario Sunshine and Galaxy on dolphin.

I could OC it more than it, but my motherboard is not good, ASUS A8N-VM. After 220 FSB it wouldnt warm-reboot and it was very annoying. I had to shutdown machine first and then do a cold-reboot. ( I didnt need 24 hours uptime back then)

Anyways thanks for that information about sound in Mario games, i dont see any point in playing games without sounds. You know its not fun without sounds.

But still, i would like to know which games resembling Mario types that I can play with sounds.

Cheers
