I'm not using Dolphin yet, but I want too and am going too.

What version should I get? I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro x64. (I have a real good pc I can run GTA5 ultra 60fps)

I'm looking to play Harvest Moon Magical Melodies (i have the legal game)

Do i download the stable version or a development one?

Also I have a official Nintendo Gamecube controller, yeah its old but works perfect.

Question is: how do I connect it to my PC?

I would recommend you download the latest available release of Dolphin, presented on the Downloads page. As for whether to use a development version or a stable release, I think both would work fine, but it is your choice. Oh, and obviously you will want a windows build regardless.

As for how to use a Gamecube controller, perhpas check in the Controllers forum for info on how to connect and use a Gamecube controller.

You should download the latest development version. That GC adapter looks like it would work, but I can't guarantee anything.
