AMD processors do not work well with emulating, and Dolphin is no exception. See this handy benchmark to see how different processors work with Dolphin. The emulator only operates on two cores, so more cores does not necessarily mean better performance. For maximal Dolphin performance, Intel is the way to go. So having an AMD processor would make you have bad FPS, but idk about just a black screen. Does it even start the game or is it just totally nothing? If it's just nothing, I've had a problem similar to that which was fixed by updating Dolphin.
