When are GUI configs suppose to get saved to INI?

When are GUI configs suppose to get saved to INI?

When configuring settings, in the new Qt GUI it's somewhat assuming everything's "dynamic" and you don't need to hit "save" as things get done on the fly ... so that's why there's only "close" button, right?

This happened with Config-Paths. It set it up fresh, clicked some stuff around the game list, it crashed, after a rerun I had to set up paths again, except the list was cached so it loaded up very quickly.

I think i've came across this several times. The question is, is this intended/normal that some things get saved on shutdown?

I noticed this as well. If Dolphin crashes for whatever reason (Runtime errors and so on) it doesn't save any of the changes made... Which actually may be a good thing, because the setting that probably broke Dolphin will be configured to the last known working state as well...
