Hey so i plan to upgrade from my sony xperia l1 to something really high end. Now i know that dolphin performance is still in it's infancy but what phone would perform the absolute best? I don't really mind an expensive phone as long as it's let's say no more than 1000 dollars.

Supposedly people have pretty good success with the Pocophone F1. Essentially you want the newest, highest end Qualcomm SoC you can get. Then after that you're at the mercy of the CPU frequency governor, which varies from phone model to phone model.

I'd wait for the new Snapdragon generation. The Snapdragon 855 will be more powerful than 845 and will use less power, so it will likely have less heating issues for gaming.
PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / GTX 660 2GB / 16GB DDR4 3600MHz / Windows 10 Pro
Phones: Poco F3 8/256GB (Snapdragon 870 5G) and Redmi Note 6 Pro 4/64GB (Snapdragon 636) 02-09-2019, 06:17 PM

Hey so thank you for everybody who replied sorry i replied late but i ended up picking up a picophone f1 for 300 dollars and grabbed a case for 15 dollars and a xbox one phone clip lol. I did need something pretty soon and im sure that dolphin will get better in the long run and i only really want to play mario kart double dash. I probably should of said that in the beginning but oh well lol. I am mainly concerned about the performance as a whole and everone says that the pocophone f1 is really good! Dolphin would be a bonus but i will use it as my daily driver and emulation.
