Not in dolphin, most of the graphics process occur in the CPU , the GPU only do the final render process

Yeah , Intel GPU = FAIL . But he can still use D3D plugin ( and remember the speed is defined by the CPU and the GPU is just to draw the damn picture in the screen Tongue )

Full rig change is the only choice.
You'll spend more money upgrading that rig than on buying a new (mid-end) one.

EDIT: ^True as long as you keep your case, PSU and optical drives.

I think he is in a notebook/laptop
MB : MSI Z68A-GD80
CPU : Intel Core i7 2600k @ 3.4 GHz (stock clock)
Gfx : ATI Raedon HD 6850
Ram : 4 GB DDR3-1333
OS : Windows XP x86

The new Rev4971 should give a nice speed boost, a little at least.

hey ! windows vista and windows 7 users just disable all the visual effects (including aero) of ur windows. definitely u will get more fps and smoother gameplay.
tried it today. really works !

Yea it does helps alot with my pc XD... but games like SMG keeps fps more stable less random slowdowns
PC Specs:
Nvidia 8400 GS (256Mb) *Overclocked*
1GB of DDR2 RAM
AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.40Ghz (Singlecore)
Windows Vista Basic 32-bit
