what versions work with the official gamecube controller adapter?

Hello, I recently picked up an official gamecube controller adapter for the wii u/nintendo switch, and I'm having mixed results getting it to work with Dolphin. I was wondering if this might be the case for others as well. So far it seems to work with

- Dolphin 5.0 stable
- The latest "Faster Melee" Slippi distribution

I can't seem to get it to pick up in

- Dolphin dev
- Dolphin beta
- Project Plus dolphin distribution

I've followed the official guide (zadig, etc.), but it seems to only be picked up by these older versions of dolphin. Is anyone else having this issue? I'll post a pic of each version I tested below for debugging purposes.
