Hi All,

I was wondering about what's more important in a CPU, as far as Dolphin is concerned.

Do I just want a high clock speed? For example, between the two following:
Intel Core i7-3630QM @ 2.40GHz and Intel Core i5-3570 @ 3.40GHz

Would the i7 perform worse despite having a higher benchmark score simply because of its slower clock speed?

The i7 has Hyper Threading (4 cores 8 threads) , i5 does not have (4 cores 4 threads)
Dolphin is a dual core application and Dolphin does not support Hyper Threading . You should look at single threaded benchmark
Besides , that i7 is a laptop CPU , Laptop cooling sucks unless you're using a gaming laptop that has decent cooling . Most multi media laptop run hot and maybe overheat with Dolphin
