TP is overrated imo. It's a good game, but it's not the best Zelda game. Zant was a weak villain, even if he is just a front for Ganon. Midna's baby-talk is simply annoying, and playing as Wolf Link to find those little light bugs always felt too much like a chore.
Wind Waker was much more exciting for me. The world was so different from past Zelda games (no more Hyrule or any other big place), yet the sea was so big and explorable. Every square on the map chart had something to offer. The striking visuals also helped form my favorable opinion. Skyward Sword is #2. Good gameplay, good controls, nice dungeons; the only thing that kinda bothered me was Fi, but my sister and I just made fun of her the whole time, so it wasn't even annoying. The real reason it's in 2nd place: no lefty mode. How come Link's Crossbow Training isn't on the poll? :p 12-10-2012, 03:50 AM
LINK'S CROSSBOW TRAINING IS SOMETHING I HAVE PLAYED. HOW COULD I FORGET THIS.

Although not a real Zelda game and more of a spin-off, it's definitely better then the CD-i crap that were made all those years ago. 12-10-2012, 04:07 AM
TP ofcourse, windwaker was good too but TP came by a bit better, i havent gone too far in SS but from what i've seen so far, i'm not too impressed.

I thought we were picking which game was our favorite. Zant was alright. He was mysterious and a decent teaser for Ganon. I thought Midna's baby talk was.. c... c─ characteristic! >_> The little bugs were indeed a chore. Shouldn't have stretched it throughout the whole game. I'm fairly sure that it's the only way to get a brand new genuine Nintendo Wii Zapper.

None of the above is the best Zelda game imo. It's kind of tongue-in-cheek phrase when you say something like "well, it ain't the best thing"; the tone of voice usually implies that it's not the greatest of its category, but also not the worse, e.g. middle of the road okay-ish. Actually I couldn't care less if it were sea, land, or sky. It got rid of familiar locations (no Hyrule until the very end, no Terminia, no Kakariko unless you're a Zelda theorist, etc) and the game felt massive and seamless. It felt like something brand new, an adventure in an open world that I could really sink my teeth into. Didn't get that from TP. EDIT: Also, why no LoZ: Four Swords Adventures? 12-10-2012, 05:54 AM
Quote: Certain characteristics can be annoying.Ofcourse. To each their own. I think Midna was actually one of the least 'annoying' sidekicks. Compared to Navi and Fi atleast. (Tatl was alright imo) Quote:It got rid of familiar locations (no Hyrule until the very end, no Terminia, no Kakariko unless you're a Zelda theorist, etc) and the game felt massive and seamless. It felt like something brand new, an adventure in an open world that I could really sink my teeth into. Didn't get that from TP.Hyrule is really the only 'location' that was in multiple games. Even then, only familiar villages, like Kakariko Village, etc, were taken and reconstructed in other titles. They didn't feel the same, even if they have the same name. Termina was only in Majora's Mask and was also a 'brand' new, if you will. Every Zelda game feels massive and seamless. I'm not sure what you were going for there.
