None of the above is the best Zelda game imo. It's kind of tongue-in-cheek phrase when you say something like "well, it ain't the best thing"; the tone of voice usually implies that it's not the greatest of its category, but also not the worse, e.g. middle of the road okay-ish.

Actually I couldn't care less if it were sea, land, or sky. It got rid of familiar locations (no Hyrule until the very end, no Terminia, no Kakariko unless you're a Zelda theorist, etc) and the game felt massive and seamless. It felt like something brand new, an adventure in an open world that I could really sink my teeth into. Didn't get that from TP.
EDIT: Also, why no LoZ: Four Swords Adventures?
