Hi there, I am currently using a high-end PC (at least for dolphin) and wanting to know what's the best quality settings for the best visual experience. E.G; What backend, ubershaders etc should I use, and what hacks should I use and not?

My Specs:
Ryzen 5 2600
16gb (2x8) DDR4 @ 3200mhz
Gigabyte B450m DS3H
1660 Super Gaming OC Gigabyte

Latest Dolphin Build

Cheers Smile

Async ubershaders are what you want for most drivers. Dolphin recommends this for Nvidia Windows
Use D3D or OpenGL for [async ubershaders].
Use D3D or OpenGL or Vulkan for [sync ubershaders]. D3D's Ubershaders tend to be more efficient than OpenGL or Vulkan's resulting in higher performance on weaker GPUs.

Unfortunately, vulkan seems to push the highest resolutions on my gtx 1060.

Speaking of, most of what you need is in enhancements. Set internal resolution to the resolution of your monitor. Also anisotropic filtering 16x. Set anti-aliasing to as high as you can without slowing the game. Other checkboxes are mostly personal preference. You can also use custom textures.

Disabling hacks can cause some effects to appear. Dolphin will disable hacks when necessary, but usually doesn't for minor effects. For example, double dash needs efb to texture only unchecked for lens flares. You can set some settings with the per game settings presets, but some settings will need manually edited gameini.
