Best delay, recognization, quality, etc. Something that works really well with no problems. I've seen this

http://www.amazon.com/3-1-MAGIC-PC-JOY-BOX/dp/B000ND3XXA/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1261355980&sr=8-13

and I've seen this

http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Gamecube-PC-USB-Adapter-Converter/dp/B0009VM05S/ref=pd_sim_vg_1

Which would you guys go with? I think the cheaper one would actually be better but I'm not sure. Or would you guys go with a different one completely? I'm using this for melee so you can understand why I'm lookin for a good one. Wink

The cheaper one. I got mine at Wal-mart a couple of years ago for $15 and it works just fine. They're quite handy Big Grin

instead of shelling out that much for an adapter i'd rather just buy a proper controller for PC that you can also use with other games.

I my self am using the XBOX 360 Wireless Controller which is working very nicely.

but i read a few older threads that the gc adapter supports half-presses natively so that would be a plus over the xbox controller. The xbox controller has the highest compatibility with modern games hands down though.

uhm what do you need half-presses for? i'd imagine you only mean the L and R trigger buttons of the the gc controller? you should know that the xbox controller does actually have two trigger buttons much like the gc controller that work perfectly with dolphin.

kupfel: yes they work as triggers, but other threads on the forum pointed out that it does not support half-presses. Personally I haven't really used Dolphin much but there are games mentioned somewhere that utilize the half-press.

I have a Trio Linker Plus 2, and gamecube pad works fine.
No rumble though for some reason.

By the way, what's a "half press" exactly? I don't understand that.
